Raleigh, NC, September 06, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Campbell Law School (http://law.campbell.edu) has announced that third-year student Thom Robbins has been selected as the recipient of the 2012 Donald R. Moore Service Scholarship from the Phi Alpha Delta (PAD) International Endowment Fund. Out of 15,000 student members, Robbins is one of just five students to receive a service scholarship. A native of Rockingham, N.C., he serves as president of the Campbell Law PAD chapter, vice president of the Campbell Law Student Bar Association and co-editor-in-chief of the Campbell Law Observer.

PAD is the preeminent professional legal fraternity serving law students, schools, and practitioners. The international organization offers professional programs, publications, student loans, insurance programs, job preparation and placement assistance, conventions, conferences and awards. The Donald R. Moore Service Scholarship is given annually to five PAD student members throughout the nation based on financial need, service to the fraternity, and service to their law school.

The Campbell Law PAD chapter annually hosts the James Iredell Banquet, honoring an individual for outstanding contributions to the North Carolina legal community.

Quote:
“Campbell Law School is unique in that students are provided not only with a sound legal education, but with opportunities to lead by serving others,” said Robbins. “As part of those opportunities, PAD brings together students, faculty, legal scholars, practicing attorneys, and judges to advance the ideals of professionalism and public service of this noble profession. I am humbled to be awarded a scholarship from this excellent and beneficial fraternal organization.”
