Mindgrub Launches Rescue Jump as Gaming Division’s First Release

Mindgrub's Gaming Division released their first official direct-to-consumer mobile game for Android and iOS.

Baltimore, MD, September 07, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Just one month ago, Mindgrub announced the launch of a new gaming division of their company. In that one short month, Mindgrub is now preparing to release their own mobile game Rescue Jump that will be available in iTunes and Google Play soon. Rescue Jump, which was inspired by old Nintendo game, has been revived by the Mindgrub team with a new take for a new platform.

The idea for Rescue Jump dates back to the vintage video game, Nintendo’s Fire. Nintendo’s Game and Watch series became popular in the early 1980s and is the origin of mobile gaming. Fire was an instant classic being easy to play, simple and addictive.

The Mindgrub development team was thrilled to be modernizing this classic game they grew up playing. “I remember playing this game when I was young. It was such a simple concept for a game, but became so difficult as I progressed,” says Alex Hachey, Creative Lead in Mindgrub’s gaming division. “It was great to ‘re-imagine’ this classic for smartphones, because it opened up possibilities for tilt controls, plus we have added new features such as power-ups the game didn’t have before.”

Gaming is not new to Mindgrub, having created several online games previously and having created Addy Award winning TAG. But Rescue Jump marks the second successful launch since minting the new division. The first game launched was Scuba Adventures for Discovery kids and Zap Toys launched just two weeks prior.
