PR.com)-- This fundraising event, hosted by Barbara Jordan, will entail a fantastic offering of tapas with paring wine provided by J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines followed by a presentation and some surprise items for auction. All proceeds will go towards expanding the clinic site in Limon 1, Nicaragua, as well as purchasing much needed medical equipment, and helping the volunteer program to grow.
The clinic, located in southwest Nicaragua, provides preventive and emergency care to numerous underserved communities. The clinic serves as a positive agent for change by saving lives, improving health, and fulfilling the promise of medicine for those most in need. Each year, thousands of patients are seen at the clinic and the clinic's ambulance transfers patients in critical condition to the nearest hospital. Volunteers from all backgrounds are welcome to come to the clinic. The clinic’s staff consists of a doctor, several nurses, pharmacists, an administrative team, as well as short-term volunteers.
