Harvest Valley Foods Serves Nebraska Senators

Bellevue, NE, July 03, 2007 --(PR.com)-- “Good, Fresh, Local”: The Nebraska Sustainable Food Project-Linking UNL with Nebraska’s Farms and The Nebraska Food Cooperative, recently joined forces to educate Nebraska State Senators on the quality and production of local food.

On May 21, 2007, Nebraska State Senators were served breakfast that featured Natural Meat from Harvest Valley Foods® of Bellevue Nebraska. The breakfast, open to all Nebraska State Senators, was prepared by UNL Dining services. Pepper Bacon, Sausage Links and Canadian Bacon from Harvest Valley were the certified “natural” meats served at the event. UNL is one of the newest universities to join the growing college-to-farm programs here in the United States.
