Enterprising Women Welcomes Two New Members to Advisory Board

Clien Wintzen and Kittie Watson Added as Board Members

Raleigh, NC, September 15, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Monica Smiley, publisher and CEO of Enterprising Women magazine (http://www.enterprisingwomen.com), has named Clien Wintzen and Kittie Watson as members of the Enterprising Women Advisory Board.

Clien Wintzen cofounded RC, a concept and design company, after graduating college in Amsterdam, Netherlands, where she studied art direction. Due to her fresh outlook on business and art, RC’s work gained great traction and appeared in several publications. At the sudden passing of her father in 2008, Wintzen left RC to take over her father’s two companies, Ex’tent and Ex’pression College for Digital Arts. Ex’tent is a green venture capital company with the goal of guiding the world’s free market economy in a more sustainable direction. Under Wintzen, the company has focused on researching ways to implement her father’s vision for a sustainable tax system, called Ex’tax. The Ex’tax Project strives to raise awareness and support for a fundamental change in the national and European fiscal systems. Although Wintzen is passionate about sustainability, she continued her involvement in a variety of creative projects she had co-initiated. Ex’pression College for Digital Arts is an accredited college located in the San Francisco Bay area offering bachelor’s degrees in sound and visual arts. As soon as immigration allowed, both she and her husband moved from Amsterdam to Berkeley, Calif., in September 2010. She now enjoys the opportunity to combine her passion and vast experience by running her own business and working in arts, in order to fulfill the leadership position of which she always dreamed.

Kittie Watson, Ph.D., is the president and founder of Innolect, Inc., a leadership and talent-development consulting firm that aims to provide executives and departments with the tools they need to reach their full potential. Watson has more than 25 years of consulting experience and specializes in strategic issues, management, cultural transformation and change implementation. She has worked with the top leadership teams of Fortune 500 companies, educational institutions, government agencies and nonprofit organizations. Her co-developed assessment tools and instruments are used globally to enhance individual and team effectiveness. She was featured on ABC’s 20/20 and in publications including American Medical News, Bottom-line Personal, Money, Glamour and Home Office Computing. Many of her books and publications are referenced extensively by a number of businesses and universities. An advocate for social justice and women’s issues worldwide, she serves on the board of the Greater Women’s Business Council (GWBC®).

Members of the Enterprising Women Advisory Board provide advice to the publication’s staff to tailor the magazine to meet the needs of entrepreneurial women. Both women were recognized at the 2012 Enterprising Women of the Year Awards on March 13 at the Ritz-Carlton in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Quotes:
“Both Clien and Kittie have established themselves as premier women entrepreneurs across the country and globally,” said Smiley. “Their unique talents, growing businesses, tips for mentoring support to other women business owners and leadership abilities will allow them to be valuable assets to the Enterprising Women community.”
