)-- Oktoberfest Tampa will be hosting it's 3rd annual Bavarian-themed festival at Curtis Hixon Park in downtown Tampa.
Oktoberfest Tampa will transform Curtis Hixon Park into a buzzing, waterfront German beer garden on October 12-14.
Enjoy live music and traditional Schuplatt dancers, a delicious assortment of German and Bavarian foods, and a wide variety of German beers. Watch or participate in a wide range of custom-crafted Oktoberfest Games to win fun prizes and bragging rights. Oktoberfest Games will include challenges such as Barrell rolling, Stein Hoisting, Brat Tossing, Carry the Wench and much more. A separate Corn Hole game field will be set up all weekend, as well as a kids friendly play zone with fun entertainment.
Oktoberfest Tampa will offer a wide variety of Oktoberfest beers to appease any seasoned beer drinkers pallate. Pils, Hefeweizens, dunkels, and Oktoberfest brews will all be available throughout the festival. For the second year in a row, Oktoberfest Tampa will have an original Oktoberfest brew on site that was also served at the very first Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany 200 years ago.
Just like last year, entrance to the event is free for men and women of the Armed Forces (active or retired) and any first responders of the City of Tampa (PD, FD, EMT) for you and your spouse. Just show your proper ID at the entry gate.
