MoneyDesktop Wins Second Consecutive Best of Show Award at Finovate

MoneyDesktop launches into an elite group of top financial technology innovators with its second consecutive Best of Show Award at the country’s premier fintech innovation conference.

Provo, UT, September 21, 2012 --(PR.com)-- MoneyDesktop added another achievement to its growing list of accolades Thursday, when it was awarded Best of Show for the second consecutive time at the FinovateFall conference. With its second win in less than a year, the company joins the ranks of industry leaders to clearly signal PFM (personal financial management) as a top priority for financial institutions committed to staying competitive in a disruptive market.

Since the inception of Finovate in 2007, MoneyDesktop is only the fifth company to win back-to-back awards. With an industry-best user interface and experience, the company is already competing with the biggest players in the space and turning heads in the process. Mary Wisniewski of American Banker commented that “Visually, its [MoneyDesktop’s] PFM tools are stunning and watching them demonstrated onstage made me want to look - and interact - with my finances. Trust me: That never happens.”

MoneyDesktop was awarded the honor for introducing a patent-pending and innovative way of representing budgets, called BubbleBudgets, as well as desktop widgets that unite the online experience with the mobile apps and a syncing engine that integrates data between platforms. These innovative features were fan favorites, and voted Best of Show by attendees. Phil Ryan of Bank Innovation said MoneyDesktop’s interface “is like a work of art.” Ryan went on to praise MoneyDesktop by saying it was “the most beautiful user experience I saw at FinovateFall 2012.”

Despite the fact that Apple’s iPhone 5 announcement coincided with MoneyDesktop’s presentation, audience members were riveted to the product demo. Bradley Leimer, VP of Online/Mobile Strategy at Mechanics Bank tweeted “Only the @moneydesktop demo and related twitter feed at #finovate could make me stop watching the Apple iPhone news.” Eric Berry, another attendee, also tweeted, “I don’t know if I’m seeing more twitter posts about the iPhone5 or @moneydesktop. It’s a close match.”

Best of Show awards are a people’s choice award, with winners selected by show attendees. 64 companies presented a seven minute demo to win the hearts of nearly 1,100 attendees from around the world.

Ryan Caldwell, founder and CEO of MoneyDesktop, said “We have an amazing team that works tirelessly to put out the best PFM software on the market and we are just starting to break the mold and believe me, the best is yet to come.”
