NATO Research Vessel (NRV) Alliance Joins "MAST 2007 Flotilla"

In tandem with the addition of Rear-Admiral Martin-Lauzer to the MAST planning committee, NURC have confirmed their research vessel “Alliance” will divert from operations to MAST 2007 (14th to 16th November, Genoa, Italy).

Pembury, United Kingdom, July 08, 2007 --(PR.com)-- In tandem with the addition of Rear-Admiral Martin-Lauzer to the MAST planning committee, NURC have confirmed their research vessel “Alliance” will divert from operations - due to be involved with signatures' measurement of soon-to-be commissioned vessels of the Italian Navy – to be docked alongside the MAST trade-show halls.

Alliance is a worthy addition to the current ‘visiting’ vessels line up:
NATO Research Vessel Alliance is one of the most capable undersea research platforms at sea today and possibly the quietest motor vessel afloat. She is unique in being one of only two ships owned jointly by member nations of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.

NRV Alliance has the status of a public vessel of the Federal Republic of Germany and flies the German republic flag. The vessel is assigned to the NATO Undersea Research Centre of the Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, located at La Spezia, Italy (taken from NATO website).

Fincantieri - builder of the NRV Alliance – see the vessel as a "flag ship" for their sales prospects in Asia, giving MAST’s Asian participants even more reason to return for the second annual event.

Information about all ship visits (and on-board social functions t.b.c.) will appear online (www.mastconfex.com) in due course.
