Wig Elegance is Going Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

When it comes to the months of the year, there is no more widely recognized month than October and breast cancer awareness. Wig Elegance is showing their support for breast cancer victims and survivors with their annual Going Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness event.

Levittown, PA, October 01, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The numbers are astounding - The Chicago Tribune Health just reported a couple of days that they received information from the National Cancer Institute, as well as that American Cancer Society that as of January 01, 2012, there were reported to be 2,971,610 female breast cancer survivors in the U.S. They also reported that the rate may skyrocket to as high as 3.78 million by 2022. Wig Elegance wants to show its support so is going pink for breast cancer awareness for the month of October.

Wig Elegance is a full-service wig salon with a large selection of wigs, hairpieces, clip-in hair extensions and turbans. They offer the largest selection of human hair, lace front and monofilament wigs in all of Pennsylvania -- for men and women.

It's widely known that October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. With one of their staff being a two-time cancer survivor, the owners of Wig Elegance understand the conflicts of emotions that those individuals with breast cancer endure on a daily basis. Robert Levin, said this: "It's time to step up to the plate and show that we do care. Going pink for the entire month of October gives us an opportunity to put our money where our mouth is."

Wig Elegance started this yearly tradition last year. This year promises to be no less exciting. For any individual that purchases a regularly-priced wig, Wig Elegance will take a portion of the sale and donate it to the Fox Chase Research Fund. Cancer is a serious subject, no doubt about it. With costume wigs, hair accessories, or hair pieces all decked out in pink, it can't help but bring a smile to one's face and make a serious subject a little more bearable.

There are many reasons that a man or woman might be considering a wig because of hair loss. The causes are just as numerous and many of them can be traumatic. Wig Elegance understands this and has compassionate staff in place that have experienced this firsthand, giving them a special touch to ensure privacy is maintained while providing much-needed reassurance.

Mr. Levin added, "For 45 years we’ve fitted women and men with wigs in Levittown to restore their confidence, save them the trouble of styling their own hair, and help them look and feel better. Our hair pieces are perfectly natural looking, too."

For those shoppers that come into their store, Wig Elegance is going all out to make sure that each person's shopping experience is a pleasant one. The owners have plenty of surprises planned with free giveaways being at the top of the list. They truly are going pink for breast cancer awareness.
