The event features presentations from Jonathan Kraftchick, Cherry, Bekaert & Holland CPA and senior manager of training and development, William Oden, J.D., Ward and Smith attorney, Lindsey Surratt, J.D., HCW compliance officer and Todd Yates, HCW managing partner.
The presentation will offer company human resources leaders a comprehensive perspective on multiple areas of the law that impact their businesses. It will explore benefits, tax and employment law changes amassed under the current administration and the lasting impact they will have on businesses of all sizes spanning all industries. Presenters at the event will review current reform provisions and their impact on the business landscape, highlight future provisions and their effect on current compliance obligations, define independent contractors and help attendees determine if their contractors pass the test. Additionally, they will focus on the costly ramifications of misclassification of contract workers, outline techniques to minimize the opportunity for occupational fraud and highlight recent fraud schemes.
