Clarkston Consulting Sponsors Ronald McDonald House Northern Nevada

Reno, NV, October 11, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Ronald McDonald House® of Northern Nevada announced today the receipt of a generous donation from Clarkston Consulting, a management and technology consulting firm. Working with its clients and business partners, Clarkston donated over 300 care packages filled with numerous items to support families staying at the House. Additionally, many different household and personal care items were donated in bulk quantities to help support the operations of the House and their resident families.

In conjunction with each of its semi-annual company meetings, Clarkston chooses a recognized charity to support to give back to the community. With Northern Nevada hosting their most recent meeting on October 5th, Clarkston selected the local Ronald McDonald House. “They provide an incredible service to those families traveling great distances to seek care for their children,” said Jeff Stewart, CFO of Clarkston Consulting. “Allowing parents to be close to their sick child, at little to no cost, is one of the greatest gifts that can be given to these families. We want to provide everything we can to help.”

For the past three months, Clarkston’s employees collected toiletries, as well as gift cards for the families’ care packages. “We have incredibly passionate and generous stewards. It wasn’t surprising that half-way through our collection we had surpassed our goal by over 30%,” added Stewart. These stewards even approached several of their hotel partners about donating toiletries, and the Embassy Suites Hotel Philadelphia Valley Forge, Springhill Suites Durham, Homewood Suites Scottsdale, Fairfield Inn & Suite Springfield, Courtyard Marriott Burlington and Hyatt Regency Incline Village all donated generously.

Clarkston also involved select clients to donate goods. “This is the first time we have asked our clients to join us in our charity activities through donating their products. Clarkston has world-class clients, and their responsiveness to this campaign certainly substantiates everything we already knew about them,” said Kyle Montgomery, partner at Clarkston. Kimberly-Clark, Peet’s Coffee & Tea and several other Fortune 500 companies all donated their products to support the House.
