)-- The Dallas/Fort Worth chapter of the American Marketing Association (DFW AMA) is now accepting entries for its 2012 Marketer of the Year Awards across 14 award categories.
The DFW AMA Marketer of the Year Awards recognize excellence in marketing throughout DFW, spanning a variety of marketing categories. This is an opportunity to gain recognition for marketing initiatives that have contributed to solving problems or challenges and/or to growing a business. These original initiatives should demonstrate vision, insight and a drive for excellence that triumph above the rest. Nominations will close at midnight January 7, 2013.
One award will be given for each of the following 12 categories (evaluations based on a judging panel’s voting/scores):
1. Public Relations
2. Event Marketing
4. Direct Mail Marketing
5. Marketing Collateral
6. Integrated Marketing
7. Interactive Media
8. New Product/Service Launch
9. Social/Viral Marketing
10. Innovative / Emerging Marketing Technologies
11. Marketing Research
13. Mobile Marketing
The overall award, Marketer of the Year, will be awarded to one of the 12 category winners (evaluations based on a judging panel’s voting/scores).
In addition to the above awards, two broader categories will also be recognized:
Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of the Year
CMO of the Year Award is intended to recognize excellence in executive level marketing leadership and will be awarded to one CMO in the DFW area, chosen from those that are nominated.
Collegiate Marketer of the Year
The Collegiate Marketer of the Year Award focuses attention on university marketing students within the state of Texas and the unique ways they demonstrate excellence in their marketing studies. The award will recognize one individual or group of marketing students who has shown academic achievement in their marketing related studies.
