The Honorable Michael Sheehan to Address New Policy and Resources in Support of SOF Efforts to Confront Emerging Challenges

Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low Intensity Conflict, The Honorable Michael Sheehan will deliver keynote remarks at Defense Strategies Institute's SOF Symposium taking place October 30 & 31, 2012 in Alexandria, VA.

Washington, DC, October 13, 2012 --(PR.com)-- DSI’s SOF Symposium has assembled key OSD and State Department policy makers, Functional and Geographic Combatant Command leadership to address “Balancing Special Operations Forces to Meet Emerging Global Challenges.” Other leaders in attendance will be from Force Providers and Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands, as well as intelligence and planning directorates involved in special operations to lend their perspective at this town-hall style symposium.

The SOF Symposium will focus on improving readiness through cohesive planning, training, doctrine, and policy that support the most appropriate and most effective use of special operations forces.
