South Hills Chrysler Jeep Kia Hosting Holiday Food Drive for Washington County Food Bank

Pittsburgh, PA, October 14, 2012 --(PR.com)-- With winter and the holidays quickly approaching, South Hills Chrysler Jeep Kia wants to help ensure everyone has enough to eat and the shelves are stocked at the local Washington Country Food Bank. Beginning October 15th and continuing through the end of the year, South Hills will be collecting donations as part of their first annual Holiday Food Drive.

In order to help as many of the over 4,700 families currently registered with the food bank as possible, the South Hills staff is hoping to collect enough donations to fill five Chrysler Town & Country minivans, while over five full minivans would be even better. In addition to non-perishable food items such as peanut butter, tuna, canned fruits and vegetables, pasta, rice and cereal, South Hills will also be accepting hygienic supplies, office supplies, and monetary donations.

To thank the community for their support, South Hills will be honoring a 10% discount on service or a $100 discount on a vehicle purchase with every food bank donation received. Collection points can be found throughout South Hills CJK, including the service department, parts department, and Kia showroom, as well as at the main donation collection center, the Chrysler Town & Country minivan located on the main showroom floor.
