A Full Dose of Laughter on November 3 to Benefit Keystone House

Here is an opportunity for a double bonus – enjoy the benefits of an evening of laughter at the upcoming "Comedy Night" featuring stage and screen star Tommy Davidson and Friends and benefit Keystone House, Inc., a nonprofit organization based in Norwalk, CT, at the same time.

Norwalk, CT, October 14, 2012 --(PR.com)-- According to the Mayo Clinic staff, when it comes to relieving stress, more giggles and guffaws are just what the doctor ordered. Laughter enhances your intake of oxygen-rich air, stimulates your heart, lungs and muscles and increases the endorphins that are released by your brain. It can also stimulate your circulation and aid in muscle relaxation, both of which help reduce some of the physical symptoms of stress.

So here is an opportunity for a double bonus – enjoy the benefits of an evening of laughter at the upcoming "Comedy Night" featuring stage and screen star Tommy Davidson and Friends and benefit Keystone House, Inc., a nonprofit organization based in Norwalk, CT, at the same time.

Keystone's programs are targeted toward low-income adults with psychiatric disabilities that are deemed prolonged and severe. Keystone supports three residential homes in Norwalk -- a supervised housing program that provides long-term housing; and two transitional group homes that provide housing and skill-development to clients to help them make the transition to independent living. Their Supported Apartment Services program is for individuals living in their own apartments.

Keystone also sponsors a Community Living Center, a client-centered psychosocial program where clients can engage in social interaction with peers and attend groups that focus on recovery and independence. Their programs assist more than 300 individuals each year to remain in the community environment of their choice.

"Our goal is to teach people with mental illness how to live as independently as possible," said Valerie Williams, Keystone House executive director.

Tommy Davidson’s exceptional range from stand-up comedy and acting to versatile music ability have earned him a reputation as an extraordinary performer. Best known as one of the original stars of the hit television show In Living Color, Tommy’s reach is built on the show’s and its stars groundbreaking and innovative talent. Tommy travels internationally, selling out every venue in which he headlines. He leaves an indelible, everlasting image with all audiences who still chuckle on the way home.
