Fairfield Harbour Wins CAI-NC Community of the Year Award

North Carolina Chapter of Community Associations Institute Recognizes Local Boating and Golf Community for Excellence

New Bern, NC, October 27, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Fairfield Harbour, (www.fhpoa.com) a residential boating and golf community located 15 minutes from historic New Bern, has announced that the community was recently named Community of the Year by the Community Associations Institute’s North Carolina Chapter (CAI-NC). The award recognition took place at CAI-NC’s annual conference on Oct. 19. CAI-NC’s Community of the Year award recognizes communities of excellence across North Carolina as well as the efforts made by its board members, community members and residents. In addition, the Community of the Year award evaluates the overall role of community management companies, which are heavily involved in the guidance and direction of community associations. Community Association Services (CAS, Inc.), which is led by John Stone, president, serves as the professional management company for Fairfield Harbour.

Located on more than 2,000 acres, Fairfield Harbour consists of more than 1,300 privately-owned single family homes, 144 condominiums and 24 townhouses. The community, which was established in 1975, has a diverse population of more than 3,000 residents who participate in a wide range of activities, volunteer events and social networks available at the Harbour.
