First Evo Fitness Bike Certification Held at Core Fusion Fitness

TriCore Indoor Cycling Certification, the Official Training Program of the Evo Fitness Bike, Kicks Off with First Course for Local Gym Owners and Cycling Enthusiasts in Downey, Calif.

Costa Mesa, CA, November 06, 2012 --(PR.com)-- To increase the workout effectiveness of the Evo Fitness Bike, an innovative indoor cycle designed to capture the natural feeling of a road bike while engaging the full body in a core-activating workout, Relay Fitness Group created the TriCore Indoor Cycling Certification Program. Following the release of the TriCore Indoor Cycling DVD earlier this year, the first official Evo Fitness Bike certification was held at the Core Fusion Fitness Gym in Downey, Calif. on Oct. 27, 2012. The event was led by Relay Fitness Group partners and head trainers Jack Nunn and Liza Porras.

“The Evo indoor cycle has been an effective training tool for me and my clients, and I’m happy to be sharing the program with other fitness professionals,” said Jack Nunn, Powerhouse Fitness owner, two time Ironman and co-creator of the TriCore Program.

Jack Nunn partnered with Liza Porras, owner of Core Fusion Fitness, to develop the 70-page TriCore Indoor Certification Manual. The certification process includes scientific exercise principles, components of fitness and kinesiology, technique instruction, workout creation, safety practices, proper bike set up, top indoor cycling exercises, music selection, managing and executing exciting classes and a variety of other skills. Participants also engaged in numerous workouts during the course where they utilized these new skills.

“When I was planning to open my new gym, I only wanted the latest and greatest in indoor cycling equipment; we found that in the Evo Fitness Bike,” said Liza Porras, co-creator of the TriCore Indoor Certification Manual and Core Fusion Fitness owner. “I have developed a number of fitness certifications in the past, but I was especially excited to assist in the creation of the TriCore certification as I felt so strongly in the unique concept and workout effectiveness of the Evo Fitness Bike.” Core Fusion Fitness is a brand new facility in Downey, California featuring indoor cycling, dance, boxing, and yoga.

Unlike standard indoor cycles, the Evo Fitness Bike features a unique swaying frame, the Core Active Sway Frame™, which moves from side to side to simulate the natural, full-body motion of riding a road bike outdoors. This revolutionary feature allows riders to engage their core, upper body and legs at the same time, allowing for a complete body workout. The TriCore Indoor Cycling Certification uses this feature in a variety of ways, including exercises that challenge balance, core strength and upper body endurance.

“The Core Active Sway Frame™ allows you to throw every ounce of leverage, weight and power into the pedals of the Evo Fitness Bike,” stated Jack Nunn. “Being able to use your full body weight in a sprint has many workout advantages and this cycle allows riders to do that and shift back and forth on alternate legs to create momentum and speed for a complete, heart-pumping workout.”
