New Online Community for Au Pairs

The Au Pair Sis is a brand new resource presented by Go Au Pair to help encourage Au Pairs across the country to connect up in their areas through Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Pinterest and other social media platforms.

Salt Lake City, UT, November 15, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Au Pair Sis is a brand new resource presented by Go Au Pair to help encourage Au Pairs across the country to connect up in their areas, follow cultural trends and learn critical childcare practices. With more than 20 years of hands-on experience in the childcare industry, Janine Kates of New Jersey is the person behind the Au Pair Sis resource as she reaches out to them through Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Pinterest and other social media platforms.

Go Au Pair developed the Au Pair Sis after working with Au Pairs for close to 25 years and finding the best way for an Au Pair to be successful is to maximize their cultural experience and help them interact with one another. Joe Budelli Host Father from California says, “As soon as the Au Pairs make a couple of friends homesickness is not an issue.”

Au Pairs alike have found the key to keeping happy during their stay in a foreign country without family and friends is by being involved. “The most important part about being successful here is being able to adapt to the change of scenery, language immersion and all new cultural habits,” said Macion Chagas an Au Pair from Brazil. “You’ll need to be outgoing and accepting and willing to make new friends. Be open to learning.”

Through the usage of the latest social media tools, the Au Pair Sis will engage Au Pairs in anything from recipe and fitness competitions, to activity ideas for the children they tend. Go Au Pair’s Au Pair Sis will also be the go-to point for Au Pairs looking for childcare advice, English education tips and cultural immersion.

The Au Pair Sis will give Au Pairs a reason to meet frequently. “I am looking forward to connecting Au Pairs, and organizing activities for them to do,” said Janine. “I hope to aid in every aspect of their cultural care experience.”

This brand new online resource will help Au Pairs quickly acclimate to the American lifestyle and their Au Pair responsibilities. Host Mother Cecile Mueller said it best, “You don’t want an unhappy Au Pair. If they aren’t happy the kids aren’t happy.”

Go Au Pair has representatives in over 50 countries on six different continents and in more than 100 American cities with headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah. Go Au Pair is one of the original Au Pair Program sponsors designated by the department of State in 1989. Go Au Pair ranked highest overall in the 2011 Au Pair ClearingHouse awards, where they were given the “Host Parent’s Blue Ribbon Pick.”
