)-- As they celebrate their 11th Year as authorized fulfillment partner for Topaz Systems Electronic Signature Technology, Computime congratulates and recognizes the visionary and innovative contributions that their President and CEO, Lewis D. Levey has made not just to their company, but the industry as a whole.
“Before the ground floor was built, Lew witnessed the birth of the eSignature capture revolution and has actively nurtured the industry from infancy to its 2007 sophisticated maturity,” said Gary Seibert, Computime CFO. Seibert continued, “We feel very fortunate to have a "pioneer" of eSignature capture as a member of our Computime team.”
Computime is proud to be the authorized fulfillment partner of Topaz Systems, the manufacturer of hardware and software that enables the capture, encryption, and authentication of electronic holograph signatures in the context of any computer based form, document, or receipt.
Lew began his computer career as a programmer during his United States Air Force service, 1965-1968. Next, he was employed for four plus years as Territory Manager for Burroughs (now Unisys); three years marketing interactive time sharing, and five years as a District Sales Manager for General Automation, a manufacturer of mini computers.
As the founder of Computime in 1980, Lew was a trailblazer in the distribution of “Mission Critical” printers and PCs. In 1993 he and Computime became experts in the pen enabled (wireless tablets) computer field. This proficiency facilitated the company’s expansion into the field of signature capture pad distribution. In 1996 Computime developed a relationship with Topaz Systems. The affiliation with Topaz resulted in a change in the company’s focus and direction.
From its strategically located St. Louis base, Computime is now the world wide distributor of Topaz products in almost 90 countries, to several thousand customers, and hundreds of thousands of end users. Lew’s interest and expertise in biometrics and forensics have motivated his support and financial investment in numerous authentication projects.
No one knows electronic signature technology better than Lew. If you want to get up to speed on the ins & outs, the who’s, what's & where's of the industry, Lew is the one to ask. Never a bystander, always a participant, Lew generously shares his knowledge through speaking engagements at numerous industry wide symposiums and conferences.
