JDL Technologies has been selected as a Preferred Vendor for USF Health PaperFree Florida clients, including physicians and healthcare clinicians, who are transitioning to Electronic Health Records in accordance with the HITECH Act of 2009.

(NASDAQ-GM: JCS), has been selected as a Preferred Vendor for USF Health PaperFree Florida clients, including physicians and healthcare clinicians, in an agreement signed on November 8, 2012. USF Health is a partnership of several related colleges and schools that comprise the University of South Florida—a global research university ranked 34th among public universities in federal research expenditures.

USF Health PaperFree Florida is a Regional Extension Center partially funded by a federal grant under the Health Information Technology Regional Extension Center Grant Program. It provides education and consulting services in healthcare information technology directly to clients to support the achievement of Meaningful Use in their implementation of Electronic Health Records (EHR) in accordance with the 2009 HITECH Act.

Healthcare providers receive direct financial incentives for early EHR adoption and Meaningful Use against a series of established deadlines, with key milestones in the next three years. Incentive programs are overseen by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
