Superhero Comic Explores State Secession, Published by Arizona-Based KaraokeFanboy Press

Phoenix, AZ, November 17, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The latest issue of Amazing Arizona Comics explores the consequences of Arizona's potential secession from the United States -- on a parallel earth, where the secession petition succeeds.

"The movement to secede is a great representation of how divided our country is, but, from a practical standpoint, it's just weird," says comic creator Russ Kazmierczak, Jr.

"Let's say it happens. Arizona becomes its own country. Does Governor Brewer become our de facto President? If my friends from California want to visit, do they need a passport? Would Arizona impose embargoes on blue states, effectively closing every Starbucks? Are we prepared for these things?"

Amazing Arizona Comics is a self-published mini-comic book series that explores local and national current events through superhero adventure. In issue #7, superhero June Monsoon finds herself on Earth-1070, where Arizona has become the world's leading nation under the rule of Governor Brewer and Sheriff Arpaio.

"On this twisted earth, the governor and the sheriff are evil versions of themselves," Kazmierczak assures, "but, at the same time, they're elected officials that want to give the people what they want. If we want to secede, we'll still need some leadership. And, in Arizona, they're it."

Amazing Arizona Comics #7 is available at KaraokeFanboy Press for only $2.00. For more information contact karaokefanboypress@gmail.com or 602-396-8960.
