Skillings Mining Review Profiles Latin Resources

Skillings Mining Review’s November issue features Profiles In Mining with Managing Director Christopher Gale of Latin Resources. Gale discusses how Peru's iron ore is retrieved at a low cost and minimal environmental impact.

Walnut, CA, November 23, 2012 --( Till recently, rich deposits of iron ore in central Peru were processed using harsh chemicals which resulted in a well-publicized history of mine pollution in the region. However, Australia-based Latin Resources readies to begin an iron ore mineral sands project near the coastal town of Guadalupito which will utilize environmentally-friendly modalities to separate the minerals from the sands.

Mr. Gale has been actively involved in promoting and developing start-up enterprises and building strong management teams with a focus on commercialization. Gale has extensive experience in senior management roles in both the public and private sectors, especially in commercial and financial roles. Latin Resources Limited is a Perth-based, ASX-listed Mineral Sands and Iron Ore focused exploration and developmental company with a number of attractive mineral concessions in Peru. Latin Resources was formed as a vehicle to explore and develop mineral concessions through Latin America with a specific focus on Peru. The company is currently managing three of seven projects it has an interest in. The most advanced of these projects is the Guadalupito Iron & Mineral Sands Project located on the northern coast of Peru.
