Greenerful.com Launches Green Products & Content Site

Greenerful.com, the Eco-Friendly Destination, Launches Groundbreaking Green Products & Content Site

West Palm Beach, FL, November 25, 2012 --(PR.com)-- After 2-1/2 years in development, Greenerful.com, the Eco-Friendly Destination has hit the internet with a long awaited launch.

It’s official. Greenerful.com, based in West Palm Beach, Florida, has done it. Aside from green products being added every day, the site boasts an incredible array of features and unique content. With green research, green legislation, Green Dot Loyalty Rewards for purchases, green education and an upcoming environmentally-friendly video and cartoon character, Flibby Green, Greenerful.com is slated to change how visitors view everything green.

“It’s not just about the products, but learning about green”, said Jon Lappin, the company’s President. “While the green economy is one of the fastest growing segments of the global economy, there’s still a lot of teaching to do.” The site’s intent is to educate consumers and give them a voice to express what concerns them with the green landscape.

The Greenerful blog, which kicked off with Lappin’s “What’s up with That?” column seeks to raise awareness of environmental issues and other green topics of interest. His first entry is The Ban on Plastic Bags, which is his take on the importance of removing the clutter from landfills, water sources, etc., and focuses on how we can create jobs for green companies that manufacture environmentally friendly and bio-degradable alternatives.

A true green retail and informational content website with an aggressive plan to tap the Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability market (LOHAS), Greenerful.com is well suited for those looking for the best selection of green products for adults, children, companies, restaurants, outdoor enthusiasts, pets and more. Under development for over two years, Greenerful.com is a complete destination for everything green.

According to Lappin, “We have created a hybrid e-commerce and content driven environment that will act as the Eco-Friendly Destination on the web. Along with a deep selection of features and utilities, we have forged significant partnerships that will allow us to reach mass audiences,” he added. The site even offers a large selection of energy calculators and partnerships with environmental educators such as Earthman Lanny Smith and the Singing Zoologist Lucas Miller, who can be heard on Sirius XM Satellite Radio.

Green products will clearly outpace their traditional counterparts’ sales in the coming years as continued focus on the environment and regulation permeate legislation and political campaigns. Unwilling to disclose much of his marketing plan due to the sensitive nature of many of the competitive advantages, Lappin says Greenerful.com will directly target the consumer – specifically the LOHAS demographic, widely considered the fastest growing online target.

The online destination will also focus on green commercial and wholesale products with particular attention paid to certifications in an effort to thwart ‘greenwashing’, which is when products falsely claim to possess green ingredients, attributes or practice fair trade.

The company has big plans after launch as well. The Beta launch doesn’t include many of the features they’ve built yet because they want to ensure their market position and that testing is complete before announcing 4 new features sure to bring mass attention to the site. Lappin says to keep your eyes and ears open for announcements in the next couple of months.

Excited about the prospects, Lappin points to Mintel Research’s findings - the green economy will hold steady at or above 6% growth through 2014 reaching an estimated $922 billion in sales. With limited competition, Greenerful.com is well poised to be a strong player in the green retail space.

Lappin is no stranger to marketing as he is a former advertising agency owner in the New York area with clients such as Mercedes-Benz, N.A., New York Health & Racquet Clubs, The World Trade Center and Hitachi. He has also served as a marketing executive with Sharp Electronics and Ilford Imaging (International Paper) as well as a turnaround executive for a large nonprofit.

The site expects to offer approximately 3,000 products by the end of the year and nearly triple that number by the end of 2013.
