Knoxville, TN, November 26, 2012 --(PR.com)-- For the last decade fuel prices have continued to sky rocket. Work commute and leisure travel have all been affected dramatically. Various green initiatives have tried to recreate the wheel with little to show. Every day, there is an estimated 184.6 million passenger vehicles on US roadways with approximately 90% transporting only one passenger costing drivers nearly $8,000 yearly in travel expenses according to the Bureau of Transportation. Ride-A-GoGo aims to change the travel industry by offering a free carpool platform to facilitate the connection between riders and drivers. “Throughout the development of RideAGoGo.com, we’ve considered all commuters. We’re replacing the college rideboards of the past, solving huge traffic and parking issues for daily commuters, assisting outdoor adventures get to their designated destinations, and partnering with music festivals coordinators to lessen the expenses of the festival goes and coordinators. We like to call it retrovation,” says Co-Founder Matt Snow.

Since the websites inception in 2010, other Co-Founder Tanner Bradley and Snow continued to refine the user experience by making it cheaper and easier than ever to reach your destination by “sharing the ride.” Listing a ride is easy, users fill out the “Create A Journey” form which instantly plots their route on the integrated Google Maps System and shows the other drivers and riders along their route. “There’s more than just an app for that!”, says Bradley.

The main issue Snow faced while planning a 5 month Appalachian Trail Thru-Hike as well as a 3 month canoe trip down the Mississippi River on a limited budget was transportation costs and logistics. Snow says, “These are the major expenses outdoor adventures face.” Snow has had the exact same difficulties while traveling to and from music and arts festivals. Together, Snow and Bradley feel they have provided the missing link to tens of millions of outdoor enthusiasts, music festival goes, and everyday commuters. Keeping in the spirit of reducing travel expenses, RideAGoGo.com will remain free to individual users.
