Velde Ford Continues Holiday Toy Drive for Children’s Hospital of Illinois
Pekin, IL, November 28, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Velde Ford of Pekin continues to ask staff, friends and patrons to support the Children’s Hospital of Illinois by giving charitable gifts of new toys or new books for the kids in the hospital.
The Children’s Hospital of Illinois has individuals called ‘Child Life Specialists’ to help children and families through their stressful times by helping them better understand illness, hospitalization and outpatient procedures.

The Velde Ford Staff has been giving gifts and collecting gifts from patrons for the kids at the Children’s Hospital of Illinois in Peoria. The new presents or books can be for boys or girls of any age. The children’s gifts can be placed under the Velde Ford Christmas tree located in the Main Showroom.
Tim Saurs, President & General Manager of Velde Ford, noted, “Especially at this time of year, our hearts go out to the little ones that are away from home due to illness.” He continued, “Our staff thought that assisting the Children’s Hospital of Il through gift giving was a great way to ‘Make a Child Smile’ during the Holidays.” Mr. Saurs sits on the Advisory Board of the Children’s Hospital of Il.
