San Francisco Startup Makes Big Splash with First Photo Contest

San Francisco, CA, December 05, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Driveway Software, a San Francisco startup specializing in car driving analytic using smartphones, has concluded its first contest open to the public. Their “Strike A Pose” Twitter photo contest required entrants to snap a picture of them and their car, and then try to accumulate the most retweets in a three week period. Selected by the twittersphere itself, the grand prize winner received a 7th generation iPod nano, and the four runners up were all spotlighted on Driveway Software’s blog.

Despite having their products released only for a few short months, Driveway Software has already amassed a cult following, with over 70,000 downloads of their Drivewise.ly Android and iPhone apps. “While our other tactics of getting the Driveway Sofware and Drivewise.ly name out there have all been a great sucess, our Strike A Pose contest has driven the company to unbeknownst exposure,” said Jake Diner, CEO of Driveway Software.

What’s next for the company remains to be seen, but if the past few months are any indication, the sky is truly the limit for the Driveway Software team. “Our goal for our first year is to have at least 500 thousand downloads of Drivewise.ly. We have a variety of other great contests and projects planned, so we know this is a very attainable goal for us” continued Jake Diner.
