Innovation Direct™ Inventor Enters Patent Pending Phase for Titus Tool Invention

Miami, FL, December 07, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Innovation Direct™, a leader in the invention assistance field since 1997, recently facilitated the process of the filing of a provisional application for a patent for Georgia resident and inventor Naeem S. Titus on his Titus Tool invention upon his request. The Titus Tool is an innovative new product designed to make a common construction task much more efficient.The invention's unique design effectively combines two essential tools into one.

Mr. Titus initially submitted information about the Titus Tool to Innovation Direct™ in June 2012 on the company’s Confidential Product Outline. Innovation Direct™ screened the invention to insure that it did not fall into a restricted category, and one of the company’s New Project Directors discussed the product further with the inventor. Shortly thereafter, a Product Management Services Agreement proposal that is intended to provide the Titus Tool with the optimal level of exposure to potential licensees through a variety of promotional and descriptive materials, including press releases, a digital rendition, an online product profile, an interactive virtual reality presentation, and participation in multiple and diverse industry-leading trade shows each year, was presented to Mr. Titus. Exhibits that Innovation Direct™ has attended in recent years include the SHOT Show, the International Home and Housewares Show, the National Hardware Show, Licensing International, the SEMA and AAPEX Shows and the ERA D2C Convention.

Later in June 2012, Mr. Titus opted to contract Innovation Direct™ to represent the Titus Tool to potential licensees for a 2 year period under the terms of the Product Management Services Agreement. The terms of the agreement also included Innovation Direct™ referring Mr. Titus to an independent patent law firm for the filing of a provisional application for a patent on the Titus Tool. The application was officially filed on September 12, 2012 and is valid for the term of one year. Prior to its expiration, Mr. Titus will have to decide whether or not to opt to have the independent patent law firm convert the application to a non-provisional version.
