TCG’s Jacksonville Employees Impact Children Globally

The Continental Group Provides Support to Samaritan’s Purse "Operation Christmas Child"

Jacksonville, FL, December 07, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Continental Group (TCG), a FirstService Residential Management company, is partnering with local Jacksonville charity Samaritan’s Purse. Samaritan’s Purse provides holiday gifts to children worldwide who live in extreme poverty through its annual initiative, “Operation Christmas Child.” TCG employees and their families have set a goal to donate 75 boxes filled with toys, school supplies, hygiene products and other useful gifts to the organization.

This charitable holiday effort is part of Continental Cares, TCG’s year-round corporate philanthropic outreach program dedicated to enhancing the lives of neighbors, residents and the communities it serves. The primary focus of Continental Cares is to reach out to nonprofit organizations and entities that meet the Continental Cares mission.

“The impact of ‘Operation Christmas Child’ on children around the world is phenomenal! Everyday items we consider so commonplace – like a toothbrush or a set of pencils – bring joy to children when they receive them,” said Mark Stoops, TCG Regional President, North Florida. “It is a pleasure for us to participate in this year’s gift drive donation. TCG’s employees and their families’ efforts will provide children with gifts that will bring them a smile for the holidays. We ask the Jacksonville community to get involved and reach out to this charity and participate in ‘Operation Christmas Child.’”
