Local Businesses Host "Hope for the Holidays" Food Drive, Donations to Benefit "Neighbor's Link"

With food banks and pantries at dangerously low levels across the country this year, local businesses in and around White Plains have partnered to host the “Hope for the Holidays” community-wide food drive. Non-perishable donations will be accepted from December 3 – 19 at participating locations for the benefit of “Neighbors Link.”

Westchester County, NY, December 07, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Local businesses in the Westchester County area are hosting a community-wide food drive to ensure local food banks are well stocked and in a position to help as many local families as possible this holiday season. Local residents are encouraged to drop-off non-perishable food items such as canned goods, rice, pasta, cereals, peanut butter, jelly, etc. Donations of baby food and infant formula are also important during the winter months. All donations will benefit Neighbors Link located at 27 Columbus Avenue in Mt. Kisco, New York.

Event organizer, White Plains based disability law firm, Markhoff and Mittman encourages everyone to get involved and support those in need this holiday season.“When it comes to feeding the hungry, no donation is too small. We encourage everyone to check their cabinets or pick up a few extra items at the store and bring them to an official drop-off location for the drive. We are a community which supports one another, and this is an excellent way to serve those in need,” says Brian Mittman, Managing Partner of Markhoff & Mittman.
