HABcore Associate Director Wins Award

Red Bank, NJ, December 12, 2012 --(PR.com)-- HABcore Inc.’s Associate Director, Katie Maier, received this year’s Supportive Housing Association (SHA) of New Jersey Direct Support Staff Person Award on December 7, 2012 at The Pines Manor in Edison.

This award is designed to acknowledge the outstanding achievements of individuals who provide direct assistance to supportive housing residents by providing the highest quality of services while promoting the supportive housing mission. HABcore, Inc. is a nonprofit devoted to providing permanent, supportive in the form of two boarding homes as well as independent living apartments.

Maier has worked for HABcore for three years providing case management services to all 96 HABcore residents, overseeing the organization’s Resident Life Committee, and coordinating all of the organization’s volunteer efforts.

“When it comes to nonprofit work I think it’s imperative to fully believe in a mission to perform your best and I believe in what HABcore works toward – permanent, supportive housing for everyone. I love what I do and it’s an honor to receive recognition for something I believe in,” said Maier.
