Texas Trust Donates $5,000 to Toys for Tots

Texas Trust Credit Union gave $5,000 to Toys for Tots, along with a plethora of new toys. Texas Trust also had live reindeer on site at the Toys for Tot toy drive. Children could pet the reindeer and feed them "magic reindeer" food.

Mansfield, TX, December 16, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Texas Trust Credit Union donated $5,000 to Toys for Tots. The check was presented Wednesday to a representative from the U.S. Marine Corps at the toy drive, which was held at the new Mansfield ISD Center for the Performing Arts.

The community-wide toy drive was broadcast live on the local Fox affiliate during its Wednesday evening newscasts.

More than a dozen employees from Texas Trust were on hand at the toy drive to help collect toys, as well as help children prepare "magic reindeer food" to feed Santa's reindeer. Jim Minge, president of Texas Trust, was also interviewed by Fox.

The event included free Santa photos for anyone who brought a new, unwrapped toy, as well as a pair of Santa's reindeer that children were able to pet. There were also crafts and face painting, inflatable bounce houses, high school drumlines, and a variety of family-oriented entertainment.

"It was a great honor to help Mansfield ISD with its toy drive for Toys for Tots," said Minge. "The public's response was exceptional, and our donation, part of our continuing effort to give to the communities we serve, will help assure a happy Christmas for as many local children as possible."
