Cards for Sandy Hook Project Encourages Words of Support for Those Affected by Tragedy

Cards for Sandy Hook asks individuals to send cards with words of sympathy and support through the holiday season for families affected by the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting.

New York, NY, December 17, 2012 --(PR.com)-- With many having been left stunned after the senseless tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, CT, it is only made worse by the knowledge that many families in the community will be spending the holidays coping with the loss of a loved one, in many cases a child. Unfortunately no amount of money or time can take back or rebuild what has been lost.

The Cards for Sandy Hook project has been created in an effort to help those affected by the tragedy. The goal is to encourage as many individuals across the country as possible to take an extra moment out of their day to write a card/letter with words of compassion and support to send to the families affected at Newtown. The town of Newtown has already designated a preliminary location for sympathy mail to be received, which be updated as necessary.

Information can be found at www.cardsforsandyhook.com. The project will last through the end of the year, aiming to help families coping with such unexpected and tremendous loss through the holiday season.
