Inertia, Inc. Holds Benefit for Toys for Tots

On December 22nd, the company gathered at Molly Malone’s on Bardstown Road in Louisville for the cause.

The event was able to raise money and collect toys for Toys for Tots. Members of the company, family, friends as well as members of the community gathered this holiday in Louisville for the cause.

Toys for Tots is a U.S. Marine Corp Reserve program directed by Commander, Marine Forces Reserve, with the assistance of his staff, from the Marine Forces Reserve Headquarters in New Orleans, Louisiana. The non-profit charity, Marine Toys For Tots Foundation, is the support organization for the program.

Toys for Tots has presence in over 700 communities across the country. The local toy collection campaigns start in October and continue into late December. Toy distribution also takes place mid to late December. Toys are dropped off in collection boxes and coordinators pick up toys to store before being sorted by age and gender. At Christmas, the Toys for Tots participants distribute the toys to the needy children of the community.

This holiday, Inertia held a Toys for Tots “Tacky Christmas Sweater Party”. On December 22nd, the company gathered at Molly Malone’s on Bardstown Road in Louisville for the cause. With more than 30 attendees, the entrance was free for those donating a toy. For all other attendees, a $5 entry fee was charged and donated directly to Toys For Tots. Inertia, Inc., celebrating its first year in business, plans to continue its philanthropic work as it expands in 2013.
