Rapid Fitness Becomes First Gym in North Carolina to Host P90X® Program

Raleigh Fitness Center Receives P90X® Certification at Glenwood Avenue Location

Raleigh, NC, January 05, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Rapid Fitness (http://www.rapidfitness.com), Raleigh’s leading gym and fitness center, has announced that the gym has become the first fitness center in North Carolina to receive P90X® certification and will offer a P90X® training program at its 7101 Glenwood Ave. location beginning in January. P90X® is a complete 90-day fitness system designed to get participants in the best shape of their lives. Created by trainer Tony Horton, the program includes 12 intense workouts that use resistance and body-weight training, cardio, plyometrics, abdominal work, martial arts and yoga, along with a nutrition plan, fitness guide and workout calendar.

The P90X® program will be held at Rapid Fitness’ Glenwood Avenue location and consist of five trainers leading the class. To introduce this popular program, Rapid Fitness is offering a one-month pilot with free classes to current members. A sign-up sheet is available at the front desk through the month of January to reserve a spot for the class, which will be held Monday through Wednesday at 6 p.m. each week. After one month, the program will be offered as an additional fee for Rapid Fitness members, and classes will expand to a Monday-through-Friday schedule.

Rapid Fitness trainers Matt Wellersdick, Jeff Piercy, Ayisham Guenes-Boyer, Lee White and Melissa Rouse all participated in a P90X® training work shop in November and received certification to teach the program.

The classes will consist of the following exercises in their correct order:

1) Chest & Back
2) Plyometrics
3) Shoulders & Arms
4) Yoga X

Quotes:
“We are very excited to become P90X® certified and to be the first in North Carolina to offer this outstanding program to our members,” said Michael Rattenni, Rapid Fitness owner. “Being able to enroll in the program at a gym will help participants stay motivated with guidance from our trainers rather than trying to finish the program haphazardly using DVDs at home. Our members who take advantage of the classes will see great results and will improve their health.”
