Convaid Employees Nationally Certified as Child Passenger Safety Technicians

Convaid makes safety a priority with employee certifications and upgrades to their special needs car seat restraint system.

Torrance, CA, January 06, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The industry leader in lightweight, compact folding pediatric wheelchairs Convaid Inc., continues its quest to put safety first by having all their Business Development Representatives nationally certified as Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPST) and training them in adaptive positioning from The Safe Travel for All Children.

As a CPS technician, Convaid business developments representatives can help parents and caregivers properly secure their children in the correct restraint with hands-on-help, educate them on crash dynamics, injury prevention strategies, child restraint selections and installation and vehicle occupant protection.

Convaid employees also underwent a course on transporting children with special health care needs to expand their knowledge on proper use and installation of special needs restrain systems.

“Now that we carry the Carrot 3 - a special needs car seat restraint system - I wanted to make sure our staff is well-educated on the matter and can assist our customers without any problems,” said President of Convaid Chris Braun. "Our staff is available to assist our dealers and therapists as well as performing car clinics within the community."

The Carrot 3 is designed, engineered and built to provide optimal positioning & safety for children with insufficient head, trunk, and pelvic stability. It recently underwent a few modifications that make for easier adjustments and fitting, allowing adjustments to be made without removing the child from the car seat.

Upgrades Include:

New seat depth adjustment strap
New back height adjustment strap
New plastic extension pad
New rear tray securement strap
