Announcing the 11th Annual "Break the Sound Barrier" Ski Race on March 3rd at Shawnee Peak (Bridgeton, ME) to benefit Hear ME Now! Programs for Children and Adults with Hearing Loss.

Falmouth, ME, January 06, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Benefiting hear ME now Programs for Children and Adults with Hearing Loss

Start waxing your skis for the 11th annual Break the Sound Barrier ski race at Shawnee Peak. The race will be held Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 8:00am to 12:00pm. Registration begins at 8am, race starts at 11am and lunch and awards until 2pm. Event proceeds benefit hear ME now! programming and events for children and adults with hearing loss, their families and their communities.

Teams of four racers will compete for the titles of Fastest Team, Gross and Net, Most Pledges Raised. Individual awards include Fastest Male, Fastest Female, Fastest Under 14, Best Wipeout, and Most Leisurely Pace. The fan award goes Best Cheerer. All racers receive a free full day lift ticket for the day of the race, a race t-shirt, a BBQ lunch and 2 timed runs down a modified slalom race course.

Get pledges from friends and family to get seconds off your team race time. For every 10 dollars collected, a tenth of a second is taken off your total time.
