)-- ARC, a technology solutions, services, and staffing provider based in Austin, Texas, has partnered with NIC to provide managed services for the Texas Department of Public Safety. NIC, the nation’s leading provider of government websites, portals and interactive applications, has worked with the Texas Department of Public Safety since 2009.
In the midst of the project, NIC realized that it needed to refresh 6,500 thin client bundles with a new image for safety station equipment systems across the state of Texas. ARC completed the image creation in partnership with the NIC team and then deployed 6,500 units to the safety equipment stations in just three weeks. Ongoing, ARC will also manage a level one helpdesk with remote troubleshooting to support these units across Texas, as well as maintain a hot swap pool of equipment to help mitigate downtime. ARC’s certified professional services team and technicians performed pre-deployment preparation and deployment to each station, and will be on-call for helpdesk support.
ARC uses a consultative approach when working with its clients; first discovering high-level objectives, challenges and needs, then suggesting a project-level solution that will fit within the customer’s process and timeline. It is this approach and the quick response of the ARC team that impressed NIC. Without ARC’s assistance, the project would not be completed on time.
