Samscreen Supports Upstate New York Economic Development
Conklin, NY, July 27, 2007 --(PR.com)-- On July 24th, 2007 Samscreen representative Dale Sturdevant joined 100’s of other New York companies at the first ever “Going Global” event presented by the Cortland County (NY) BDC-IDA. This event was focused on producing more Upstate New York businesses with the capabilities of selling products/services overseas, by providing them with the information and tools necessary to accomplish their goals. Samscreen, already a tremendously successful international seller and marketer of aggregate and recycling screening media, was proud to be able to participate in and support such an event.
“To be able to participate in an event such as this, was a tremendous experience,” commented Sturdevant “It has allowed companies that have had difficulty or are just experiencing the export market for the first time, to obtain resources and make connections which should help them market overseas very successfully. It also provides experienced companies the chance to expand and/or possibly refresh their skill sets.”
Beyond exporting, companies were also given time for networking, and to meet with local, state, and federal economic development representatives. This provided companies the opportunity to ask direct questions and get direct answers to their most pressing questions. The keynote speaker for the event, Daniel Gunderson (Chairman, Empire State Development Corporation), was also more than willing to answer any questions that attendees may have had.
In conclusion, “Going Global” was a tremendous event, and combined with more like it, this will undoubtedly lead to more companies doing business overseas. Samscreen will continue to participate in and support these events, now and in the future, as we continue to be a committed partner in Upstate New York’s economic growth.
