Innovation Direct™ Inventor Enters Patent Pending Stage with Mobley Napkin Holder Invention

Miami, FL, January 11, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Innovation Direct™, a leader in the invention assistance field since 1997, recently facilitated the process of the filing of a provisional application for a patent for Alabama resident and inventor Frank Mobley on his Mobley Napkin Holder invention upon his request. The Mobley Napkin Holder is an innovative new product designed to bring unprecedented functionality to a common table top accessory. The invention’s unique design lends an eye catching and useful feature to a standard napkin holder.

Mr. Mobley initially submitted information about the Mobley Napkin Holder to Innovation Direct™ in August 2012 on the company’s Confidential Product Outline. Innovation Direct™ screened the invention to insure that it did not fall into a restricted category, and one of the company’s New Project Directors discussed the product further with the inventor. Shortly thereafter, a Product Management Services Agreement proposal that is intended to provide the Mobley Napkin Holder with the optimal level of exposure to potential licensees through a variety of promotional and descriptive materials, including press releases, a digital rendition, an online product profile, an interactive virtual reality presentation, and participation in multiple and diverse industry-leading trade shows each year, was presented to Mr. Mobley. Exhibits that Innovation Direct™ has attended in recent years include the SHOT Show, the International Home and Housewares Show, the National Hardware Show, Licensing International, the SEMA and AAPEX Shows and the ERA D2C Convention.

In September 2012, Mr. Mobley opted to contract Innovation Direct™ to represent the Mobley Napkin Holder to potential licensees for a 2 year period under the terms of the Product Management Services Agreement. The terms of the agreement also included Innovation Direct™ referring Mr. Mobley to an independent patent law firm for the filing of a provisional application for a patent on the Mobley Napkin Holder. The application was officially filed on November 2, 2012 and is valid for the term of one year. Prior to its expiration, Mr. Mobley will have to decide whether or not to opt to have the independent patent law firm convert the application to a non-provisional version.
