About Lloyd L. Parthemer
Lloyd L. Parthemer was born in Frankfort, Kansas and currently resides in Bonita, California. He attained his B.S. at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California in 1963. Mr. Parthemer is the Chair, President and CEO of the Naval Helicopter Historical Society Inc. which is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit public benefit charitable corporation established in 1997. Its mission is to preserve and display the legacy of Naval helicopter aviation. Mr. Parthemer’s Naval career has rendered him numerous awards including the Bronze Star W/Combat “V” in 1968, the Presidential Unit Citation in 1969 and the Republic of Vietnam Service Medal in 1968. He is a life member of the VFW, the American Legion, the Military Officers Association of America, a Charter Member Trustee of the Naval Helicopter Association and a life member of the Fleet Reserve Association. At home he is surrounded fondly by his 4 children and 7 grandchildren.
