AbleForce Offers Employment Opportunities to Military Veterans, People with Disabilities, and Others

Washington, DC, January 16, 2013 --(PR.com)-- AbleForce, Inc., an employment training and placement organization that promotes, enhances and facilitates work opportunities across the country, needs job seekers to submit their qualifications, to be considered for a growing number of employment opportunities across the U.S.

“AbleForce provides opportunity to work under Federal government contracts in a wide range of capacities,” said Donna Jackson, Able Force Human Resource Generalist. “Many of these contracts will place a priority on qualified people with disabilities and military veterans, who are valued by employers. We encourage all job seekers to register on the AbleForce.org web site, let us know your skills and experience, so we can contact you when opportunities arise in your profession.”

Through recruitment and screening of prospective employees, AbleForce offers a nationwide network of workers with a multitude of skills and qualifications, capable of meeting a wide range of project requirements.

“Some of our most immediate job opportunities can be found on AbleForce.org, but the best way to be considered for upcoming opportunities is to apply in advance,” Jackson said. “We work in both the public and private sector, and the availability of positions changes daily.”

As a 501 (c)(4) social enterprise, Able Force most often supports federal contractors, seeking out opportunities to provide services, consultation, and related activities that provide gainful employment and inclusive environments for people with disabilities. While priority is placed on those with disabilities, there are also job opportunities for the non-disabled, based on the government’s need for people with specific skills and experience. Because of this, all those currently in the job market are encouraged to register on the AbleForce.org website.

AbleForce also provides opportunity as an AbilityOne affiliate. The AbilityOne program is a federal initiative to help people who are blind or have other significant disabilities find employment by working for nonprofit agencies that sell products or services to the U.S. government. More than 600 nonprofit agencies work with AbilityOne, making it the largest source of employment in the U.S. for those who are blind or have other significant disabilities.

“In recent months we have seen an increase in the number of job opportunities for people with disabilities, including some where demand exceeds the number of available candidates,” Jackson said. “We know there are more available people who are qualified for, and desire, these well paying positions. By sending AbleForce your resume today, we can make sure you don’t miss that opportunity.”

Applicants can register, upload their resume, and view current job opportunities at AbleForce.org.
