Washington, DC, January 19, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- Sunshine Mail Foundation will participate in the fourth annual National Day of Service on Jan. 19 on the National Mall. Partnering with the Junior League of Northern Virginia (JLNV), they were selected as one of seven service projects to host at the event.
During the National Day of Service event, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Sunshine Mail project where they will create a personal, hand-made card for a child in need.
“Sunshine Mail in partnership with JLNV hopes to create over a thousand cards to fill the mailboxes of children in need,” says Stephanie Busby, Executive Director & Founder of Sunshine Mail Foundation. “Through our Sunshine Mail, we will help to make children in need's days a little brighter."
As part of the 57th Presidential Inauguration, The National Day of Service urges citizens to spend the day doing service work in their community to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Supported by President Obama, he and his family will also take part in the event.
