St. Louis Marriage Therapy, LLC is celebrating its first year of success in business. This release explains upcoming events and successes for this past year.
St. Louis, MO, January 23, 2013 --(PR.com)-- St. Louis Marriage Therapy, LLC announces one year of success helping couples in the St. Louis metropolitan area address and solve marital issues dealing with sex, intimacy and communication.
Angela Skurtu, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and owner of St. Louis Marriage Therapy, LLC recognized a need for couples in the area of marriage counseling and therapy: healthy and open communication about intimacy within their relationships. “Most therapists are reluctant to discuss issues of this type or lack experience to treat problems of this nature,” says Angela. “I have the necessary training to work with couples to address this ‘taboo’ topic and tailor success plans based on their experiences.” For this purpose, St. Louis Marriage Therapy, LLC opened its doors to the public January 1, 2012.
While open talk about sex and intimacy is a part of Angela’s treatment plan, she also puts an emphasis on couple’s counseling and preventive therapy for couples who are facing problems. “Too many couples wait an average of 6 years after problems start before seeking help. By this time, making progress is more challenging because resentments have built up,” states Angela. Recognizing and admitting that a problem exists then seeking professional help immediately is a step toward improving their relationship and intimacy.
Therapy of any type is difficult to admit to and often delays treatment. Men and women will find their space, their morals, and their perspectives are valued and appreciated at St. Louis Marriage Therapy. Everyone will be safe, supported, respected and not be judged.
