Cypress, TX, January 24, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- Mary Leamons, owner of Go Local Advertising, LLC., said, “The donation made to Sampson was a collective effort. Local businesses all made contributions, and Sampson didn’t have to go from business to business asking for support, we’ve done that for them. Our purpose for this program is to relieve some of the financial burden carried by the parents and staff for supplies and special projects.”
Sampson Elementary is the pilot school for the fundraising program constructed by Go Local Advertising, LLC. Sampson PTO received a donation yesterday for $1,500, along with 1,000 booklets featuring offers from local businesses. “This is a great way for my business to support the school,” said Andrea O’Dowd, owner of Painting with a Twist - Cypress. Sampson has agreed to promote the program, and support the 17 businesses participating in the coupon book. If the coupons are used at the participating businesses, 20% of the proceeds will be donated again the following quarter. At that point, new coupon books will be delivered, and the process will begin again, each quarter producing a new check. Checks will range between $1,500 and $2,500. Beverly White, Sampson’s PTO president, said, "Sampson Elementary PTO is excited to partner with [Go Local Advertising, LLC]. It's a simple way to raise funds for our PTO by simply supporting local businesses. It's a win-win for everyone."
