SABIC to Showcase Innovative Sustainable Solutions for Heating, Cooling and Air Conditioning OEMs at AHR Expo

Today’s leaders in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) are faced with the challenges of finding manufacturing efficiencies, reducing system costs and delivering more sustainable solutions, while meeting regulatory requirements.

Pittsfield, MA, January 26, 2013 --(PR.com)-- SABIC’s Innovative Plastics business will be showcasing a wide variety of solutions to help leading heating, cooling and air conditioning OEMs address these trends at the upcoming AHR Expo, Jan. 28-30, in Dallas, Texas.

At Booth #5544, SABIC will exhibit its broad and growing portfolio of specialized resins as well as its application development support capabilities, both of which SABIC’s customers can use to create innovative designs to address the HVAC industry’s most pressing challenges.

“We chose to exhibit at the AHR Expo because it represents an opportunity to interact with the premiere OEMs in an important and growing industry,” said Michael Gilbert, general manager, Engineering Resins, North America, Innovative Plastics. “SABIC is committed to helping our customers push the boundaries on design, system cost reduction, and identifying more sustainable solutions. AHR Expo is an ideal venue to hear what is on our customers’ minds, and have a dialogue about the ways our portfolio of materials and our application development expertise can help our customers succeed.”

SABIC will be featuring a number of materials that top HVAC OEMs have used to create innovative applications, including NORYLTM resin, which provides advance flame resistance and dimensional and hydrostability; VALOXTM resin, renowned for its high flow, weatherability and the ability to meet UL 5VA standards; LEXANTM resin, a preferred solution that can deliver superior impact and ultraviolet (UV) resistance while meeting UL 94HB requirements; and AVPTM resins, a suite of materials containing post-recycled content that are available in glass-filled polycarbonate, polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), nylon and polyphenylene ether (PPOTM) resins.
