)-- The California State Mining and Mineral Museum is back open after the threatened closure by the state and their big armed robbery in September and will play its usual key role in the exhibits and activities of the annual Mariposa Gem and Mineral Show. In addition, the Mariposa Gem and Mineral Club joins the Museum and the Museum Association in organizing and supporting this year's show.
This year's show will take place April 13th and 14th and has been expanded to allow outdoor booths as well. Would be vendors are advised to get their applications in early while space is still available. Please see www.camineralmuseum.org.
Entrance and parking is Free to all the public. Apart from the usual gem, mineral and jewelry vendors, there will also be tool and supply vendors, gold panning demonstrations, rock cutting demonstrations, talks by eminent geologists and continuous free tours of the museum. The museum is in the Mariposa Fairgrounds where all the activity will take place.
