)-- Fairfield Harbour (http://www.fhpoa.com), a residential boating and golf community located 15 minutes from historic New Bern, has announced that the American Red Cross will host a blood drive on Friday, Feb. 8 from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Community Center and Firehouse. The American Red Cross works with more than 50,000 blood drive sponsors each year to hold approximately 200,000 blood drives nationwide. Donations make it possible for the Red Cross to provide blood for patients in nearly 3,000 hospitals across the United States.
“We are looking forward to hosting the upcoming blood drive, as it will serve as a wonderful way for our community to give back to others,” said Mystre’ Van Horn, on-site community manager for Fairfield Harbour. “With more than 44,000 blood donations needed every day, we strongly support the American Red Cross and its mission to provide compassionate care to individuals in need, as one donation can help save the lives of up to three people. We encourage those who live near Fairfield Harbour to participate in this worthy community event.”
