About George R. Taylor

Dr. George R. Taylor is a Professor of Special Education at Coppin State University. Dr. Taylor became the first Coppin faculty member to receive the acclaimed USM Regents Faculty Award for Excellence in Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity. The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents, a group appointed by the governor to regulate policies, academics and finances of the system, presented their highest honor to Dr. Taylor at a ceremony held at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, Maryland. His knowledge and expertise in the areas of research and special education are both locally and nationally renowned. Additionally, he has directed several large federal grants in the area of special education and has conducted numerous workshops in research and special education. Dr. Taylor is the author of numerous articles and textbooks. He is a member of the Council for Exceptional Children, the Association of Supervision and Curriculm Development and the N.A.B.S.E.
