Expedition Portal, the leading vehicle-supported adventure-travel site, experienced unprecedented growth in 2012.

Prescott, AZ, February 24, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Overland International's Director of Business Development, Brian McVickers announced, “Expedition Portal, or ExPo as we often call it, has had an incredible year. In 2011 we had an average of 25,000 daily views on www.expeditionportal.com, which put us near the forefront of the industry, but in 2012, we jumped to over 45,000 daily views, easily surpassing our traffic goals for the year.”

CEO Scott Brady commented on the reasons for the site's rapid growth, “At the end of 2011 we made a large investment in content, hiring full-time editorial staff, and engaging more dynamically with our extended team of writers and photographers around the globe.”

Editor Matthew Scott continued, “The stories are fun and informative, with between three and five daily features allowing readers to dive even deeper into the products and adventures they love. Our readers tell us that ExPo is the first site they check each morning, and many are so passionate about it that they literally spend hours on the site each day.”

“The time-on-site statistics are pretty staggering,” agreed McVickers. “The average return visitor reads dozens of pages and often stays on the site for over thirty minutes. The forum alone went from 35,000 registered users in 2011 to over 65,000 in 2012.”
