GoldBio Launches New Product Line: Growth Factors and Stem Cell Reagents

Today in an email to customers, Bart Saracino, Marketing Director, announced the newest line of research products from Gold Biotechnology, Inc.: Growth Factors and Stem Cell Reagents.

St. Louis, MO, March 07, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Growth Factors and Stem Cell Reagents product line was developed over several months in collaboration with a major university in St. Louis. This move expands the GoldBio product portfolio, allowing the company to move into the area of stem cell research, a field where some of the most important biological processes are mediated. The company anticipates that this will be an area of continued growth for years to come, and that this product line will continue to be expanded throughout the year based on customer insight.

At the time of release, this new line consists of more than 35 widely used human, rat, and murine growth factors. The unique characteristics of the products include their extremely high quality, precise lot-to-lot consistency, and in keeping with the GoldBio brand, affordable price.

With the addition of this new line of products, GoldBio proudly adds its brand to the St. Louis area’s notable history with stem cell research. In the 1950s, Stanley Cohen and Rita Levi-Montalcini isolated nerve growth factor and then discovered epidermal growth factor at Washington University. They jointly received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 1986 "for their discoveries of growth factors”. Research on cellular growth factors has proven fundamental to understanding the development of cancer and designing anti-cancer drugs.
